The short version
Lettered Rock does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal data. The app runs entirely on your device, works fully offline, has no account, no analytics, no advertising, and contacts no server of any kind.
What stays on your device
Everything the app remembers about your progress is written only to your device's local storage — it is never sent anywhere:
- Progress and settings — stars earned, finished sticks, sound/music/haptics preferences and reminder settings, kept in the app's own sandboxed storage and in standard iOS UserDefaults.
- Gift tag photos — if you attach a photo to a finished stick, that image file is saved only inside the app's own folder on your device.
Uninstalling the app deletes all of this along with it. Nothing is backed up to any server we operate.
Camera and photo library
Lettered Rock can use your camera or photo library for exactly one feature: adding a gift tag photo to a stick you have finished, kept in your Sweet Jar.
- Camera — used only if you choose "Take a photo" for a gift tag. The picture is written to the app's own storage and is never uploaded anywhere.
- Photo library — accessed only through Apple's system photo picker when you choose "Choose from your photos." The app does not get general access to your library, only the picture you select.
- Saving to your library — only happens if you explicitly choose "Save Image" after sharing a postcard from the share sheet.
Notifications
If you turn on the optional daily order reminder in Settings, Lettered Rock schedules a local notification on your device using Apple's notification system. This is a local reminder only — no push service or remote server is involved, and no data about you leaves your device to schedule it.
Third parties
Lettered Rock includes no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking software development kits of any kind. No data is shared with, or sold to, anyone, because none is collected in the first place.
Children's privacy
Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal data from children either. There is no account, no chat, and no way for a child (or anyone) to send personal information through the app.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this same address with an updated date at the top.
